For a useful first conversation, bring the affected website pages and any evidence you already have. That might include inquiries, a Search Console report, or a description of a broken customer journey. Missing measurements should be treated as unknown, not as proof that the site has failed.
What an SEO engagement should explain
An ongoing SEO provider may plan search topics, content, local visibility, and technical priorities. Ask who performs each activity, what access they need, what they will deliver, and how progress will be assessed. A promise of a particular ranking is not a useful basis for choosing a provider.
Check whether the proposal covers investigation, content production, website implementation, or only recommendations. If your website team will implement the work, include that time and cost in the plan.

No. Care includes hosting, maintenance, and defined website support time. Search strategy, link acquisition, keyword campaigns, and advertising management are not part of that offer.
Do I need a new website before hiring an SEO provider?
Not automatically. Identify the problem first. We can assess whether a focused WordPress change is appropriate or a redesign would better address the website requirements.
