With Fortress, you get top-notch security measures specifically designed for WordPress, without hiring an expensive infosec team. With our WordPress Care and Maintenance Plans, you'll have peace of mind knowing your site is protected by the best in the business.
Fortress and Cloudflare serve different purposes in protecting your website, and they complement each other. While Fortress focuses on application-layer security within your WordPress site, Cloudflare provides network-layer security by acting as a shield between your site and potential attacks.
For instance, Fortress doesn't protect against denial-of-service attacks, as it operates after an HTTP request reaches your site. In contrast, Cloudflare can block these attacks before they even reach your server. However, Cloudflare doesn't have the ability to handle WordPress-specific security features like password hashing, which Fortress excels at.
In summary, using both Fortress and Cloudflare together can give you a comprehensive security solution for your website, as they cover different aspects of protection.
Yes, that’s totally possible. 2FA works like this in Fortress:
Anybody CAN use it. (Why deny any user the option to use 2FA).
Some users MUST use it (By default: admins and editors).
If you want to have more user roles added to the "MUST USE 2FA" please just reach out to our support team and we will modify the configurations accordingly.
While it is possible to use the plugin on other hosting companies, it has a deep integration with our services. Due to this deep integration with our servers, we do not offer this as a stand alone product.
